Our Story

Inspired by my mama’s cooking, Mercy Cooks was born during one of the toughest seasons of my life. After losing both of my parents in less than a year, I found comfort in the kitchen, a place that helped me feel connected to my mom.

Food was her love language. She always made sure there was enough for everyone, whether you were family or simply someone visiting. Through her, I learned that a meal could offer more than nourishment; it could make people feel loved, welcomed, and at home.

I have been cooking for as long as I can remember, and bringing people together over good food and good company has always brought me joy. In my grief, cooking became a source of comfort and healing. From that place, Mercy Cooks grew as a way to carry my mama’s love forward and share it with others.
